Action Day & Stockholm Food Forum - The Communities for Action, Stockholm, Sweden

At Action Day and throughout the 2025 Stockholm Food Forum, the Communities for Action (CfAs) – one of the Nexus Action “Living Labs” – were at the heart of the conversation. Bringing together diverse food systems stakeholders, the CfAs worked to advance breakthrough collaborative actions, building on the Action Briefs developed in the lead up to the event.

The insights, priorities, and solutions emerging from the communities shaped discussions across the Forum. Representatives from each CfA took to the Forum stages, demonstrating how collective intelligence, deliberate dialogue, and collaboration can translate shared knowledge into meaningful action.

The Communities for Action

Communities for Action are sector-specific groups committed to making ambitious progress on healthy, sustainable and just food systems, as outlined by the EAT-Lancet Commission recommendations.

The Pooling Collective Intelligence for Action book

Over a period of 6-10 months in 2025, each of the Communities for Action co-developed Action Briefs which set priorities and recommended actions that organizations can use in policy, practice, and investment decisions. These are shared reference points for member organizations, partners, and the broader food systems community supporting alignment across sectors and scales.
