Hosted by CGIAR and the University of Montpellier, this two day international gathering brought together leaders from International Panels, UN agencies, and other key stakeholders to explore how science-to-policy interfaces can work more collaboratively to address global challenges.
The event laid the foundations for a larger convening in March 2024, creating a shared space to align priorities, strengthen collaboration, and develop integrated messages for decision makers across global policy processes. Participants co-designed the vision, agenda, and areas of focus for the March event while exploring opportunities to generate greater synergies across science, policy, and knowledge systems.
Through dialogue and collective reflection, the gathering helped build shared ownership of a long term collaboration, identified common priorities and guiding principles, and secured institutional commitments to advance the process leading into 2024 and beyond.
